Mode of action
The monoammonium salt of glyphosate enters the body of weeds through the leaves and stems, moves throughout the plant, including the root system. Under the action of the drug, the synthesis of amino acids in weeds is suppressed and the cell structure is destroyed. All this leads to the inevitable death of both the aerial part and the rhizome. Warning: the monoammonium salt of glyphosate is very unstable and quickly breaks down under the influence of ultraviolet light.
Features of use
Spraying is carried out during the growing season of weeds. In order to obtain maximum efficiency, it is necessary to ensure sufficient and uniform spraying of the aerial part of the plants. Depending on the average daily temperature, weeds die within 7-14 days. The absence of rain within 5 hours after spraying is a prerequisite for obtaining maximum results. It is desirable to carry out the main cultivation of the soil as late as possible after applying the drug, no earlier than after 2 weeks, because despite the fact that the above-ground part of the weeds died, their root system always dies more slowly.
With high thistle and field birch weediness, it is advisable to add any herbicide based on an amine salt or 2,4-D ether to the solution at the rate of half of the recommended consumption rate. Such a mixture must be prepared immediately before spraying. Apply the working solution no later than 60 minutes after preparation.
