Mode of action
Intestinal rodenticide brodifacoum is a second-generation synthetic blood anticoagulant. One day after consuming a lethal dose of the drug, the level of blood coagulation drops sharply. As a result, any internal or external damage to the rodent leads to internal bleeding and death.
Features of use
he bait is placed directly in the holes and sprinkled with earth, or in suitable containers made of plastic, cardboard, tin, etc., in places where rodent activity is observed. It is better to use special containers, which makes it impossible for animals and birds to eat the bait and prevents access by outsiders. The presence of the bait is monitored after 1-2 days, and then at an interval of once a week; if it is eaten, a new portion is added, if it has been untouched for more than a week, it is transferred to another place. Feeding is stopped if the bait remains completely intact for a long time.
